Jason is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Confluent Holdings, and he is responsible for setting the company’s strategy and leading its resource and capital allocation activities. For more than thirteen years, Jason has led or facilitated the acquisition or divestiture of more than 15 businesses across a variety of industries and geographies, representing over $300 million of total enterprise value.

Prior to founding Confluent, Jason was a Principal with Kamylon Capital, an operationally-focused private equity firm. As a Principal at Kamylon, Jason was responsible for evaluating, executing and managing control buyouts. Previously, Jason was an Associate at Morgenthaler Partners, a private equity firm with $2.9 billion under management, where he evaluated and executed middle-market leveraged buyouts. Prior to joining Morgenthaler, Jason was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. While at Bain & Company, Jason conducted strategic due diligence for leading private equity firms, venture capital firms and hedge funds, and he worked closely with a variety of Fortune 1000 companies on engagements that ranged from pricing optimization to cost reduction and post-merger integration. Jason began his career as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. While serving on active duty for more than four years, Jason led Marines in peacetime and during sustained combat and humanitarian operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Jason received a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
